This course is designed by MindtoPen for Spanish speaking students whose level of English is B1 or higher. Course: Tools for Improving Pronunciation and Presentations (HERRAMIENTAS PARA MEJORAR EL DISEÑO DE PRESENTACIONES Y PRONUNCIACIÓN EN INGLÉS) This course will raise awareness of how sounds are pronounced so that the student can improve their overall pronunciation, intonation, and stress skills through explanation and hands-on practice. The course will also incorporate presentation skills (analysis, preparation and final presentation). At the end of the course, students will practice presenting on a topic of choice and exchange feedback with peers. Students are required to have access to a microphone, video, and speak in English during class. Duration: 6 classes of 2 hrs + 3 hours of online work: Total 15 hours Price: Students: 70 USD. Academics: 85 USD Professionals: 95 USD Topics: 1) Distinguish and practice specific sounds that are often mispronounced (/Ed/ of the simple past, /s/ /z/ sound, short and long vowels, and more). 2) Practice reading text while focusing on intonation and stress. 3) Review the best practices for presentations. 4) Practice preparing and delivering presentations. Dates and times: GROUP I: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays: November 13, 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, MST time.
