Service Description
Asynchronous feedback consultations provide writers with detailed, personalized writing support without the need for a live meeting. In this format, writers submit a draft along with relevant assignment guidelines or questions, and a writing coach reviews the work independently, offering constructive edits or written feedback within a set timeframe. This service is ideal if you prefer flexibility or are balancing busy schedules. We offer three different types of asynchronous feedback for the same price of $60 an hour. Proofreading focuses on checking for typos, formatting, and minor errors before publication. This service can be completed significantly faster than developmental or line editing and is ideal for the last step before submission to catch any error or typo that was missed. Line Editing typically takes more time than proofreading due to its deeper focus on style, clarity, tone, and flow. Besides grammar, punctuation, spelling, consistency, word choice, and general sentence-level flow, we will also pay attention to sentence and paragraph structures. Compared to line editing, developmental editing is more time-consuming because it involves high-level revisions to the text. We will look at the "big picture" of the content, flow, and organization, in addition to anything covered in Line Editing. We will help you to refine your ideas and shape your narrative by providing you with details noticed in your draft. All comments will be through Track and Changes in Word Documents or the suggesting mode in Google Docs. Depending on the feedback needed or your preferences, you may also receive oral feedback recordings. You can also choose to receive asynchronous feedback and then schedule a a synchronous 1:1 to go over anything you may need. You can indicate the type of feedback you prefer, or we can help you identify what would help you the most. Procedure for an estimate: Submit a sample of your writing to receive an estimate based on the type of editing you need. We will read your document for 15 minutes and make comments accordingly. Cancellation Policy
Once the payment is submitted and the revision has started, there is no cancellation for the work that has been completed. You may cancel any hour that you purchased but has not yet been used towards your editing services. You may use any left over balance for any service at MindtoPen.
